The minute your plane touches down at BIA airport, you will be whisked away to the plush Silk Route Lounge with dedicated concierge services, attendants and your private chauffeur guide to process your papers and collect your luggage. You will then be transferred to the hotel in Colombo (Approx. 01-hour drive) where you can relax after the flight.

Evening Dine in at Colombo’s hidden away street food locations. Start off by enjoying a seafood appetizer by the Galle face green. Afterwards Take a tuk-tuk ride through old Colombo to the heart of Pettah, pick up a few sweet treats from the countries very Bombay sweet eatery. Afterwards make your way to one Colombo’s best kept culinary secrets, hultsdorp street food market. Meet the people and learn the history behind these culinary establishments. Your host is a foodie of Sinhalese and Dutch burgher origin who is also conservationist on the preservation of old architecture and cultures.

This morning you will be transferred to your hotel in Anuradhapura by Helicopter (Airbus H120).

Later in the afternoon take a safari at the Minneriya National Park (Approx. 01 ½ hours drive per way), popular for Elephant gatherings. (In case the park is inaccessible the safari will be done at Eco Park or Kaudulla Park).

This morning, after breakfast proceed to Sigiriya (approx. 01 ½ hours drive) to climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO world heritage site. It’s commonly called the ‘Fortress in the Sky’ and probably the most fantastic wonder of Sri Lanka. It is also known as Lion Rock because of the huge lion that used to stand at the entrance to the Palace on the summit of the 600-ft rock.

Thereafter proceed to Habarana (Approx. 30 mins drive from Sigiriya) to experience a rural village tour.

The peaceful village of Hiriwaduna is located closer to Habarana/Dambulla area. Start with a scenic walk along the “bund” of a man-made reservoir, enjoy a catamaran ride across the streamline to visit Chena cultivation, followed by a visit to a humble farmer’s vegetable corner where you will pick your own vegetables and join in preparation of a Sri Lankan meal to enjoy and taste!!!

Return back to your resort and enjoy a swim in your private plunge pool or you can select a number of activities available at the resort premises.

This morning, after breakfast you will be taken to the hill country by Helicopter (Airbus H120). Full journey takes Approx. 01 hour.

Check in to your bungalow and spend the day at leisure or take a bicycle ride to the mountains. The unspoiled beauty of the surrounding valleys and hills are a great biking experience. They have mountain bikes in the bungalows for complimentary use. For longer rides, we recommend that you take one of their guides along.

Breakfast at the hotel. You can choose any of the activities from the following or spend your day at leisure in your tea plantation bungalow.

This is the essential Tea Trails experience. Their Resident Tea Planter will demonstrate the age-old tea making process.

Your adventure starts at a beautiful natural base in Kitulgala about 1hours 5 minutes from Ceylon Tea Trails. After a safety briefing and a few pointers on the rafting technique, you’ll jump right into the action. 

Having reached the end of your program, you will be transferred to the Bandaranaike International Airport by Helicopter (Airbus H120, the journey takes Approx. 45 mins) from where you will continue onwards to your next destination.
