Ayubowan! Meet and greet at Colombo International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Makandura (approx 45m).

The Notary’s House has a selection of bikes and helmets for use free of charge by guests. Pick a bike that suits and set off on a tropical cycling adventure! Ride past scenic paddy fields with resident buffalo and egrets and surrounded by rural households and their seasonal crops.

At the end of the aforementioned, cycling ride, a village walk is suggested along or around the lake behind the hotel including a visit to the local temple.

Drive to Sigiriya (approx 4h 30m), one of the World Heritage Site.

This afternoon you can explore the magnificent view of Pidurangala Rock.

The fading light of sunset turns the surrounding area into a golden painting, with Sigiriya as the main subject. Watch as the sky chameleons itself into pale pastels and deep ochers over the valley. Positioned adjacent to the magnificent Rock Fortress, Pidurangala is most renowned as a gorgeous spot, for one can relish in 360-degree views of not just the valleys, but also the colossal Sigiriya Rock. At the base of Pidurangala Rock lies the Pidurangala Rajamaha Viharaya, an ancient temple survived only by a few remains. 

This morning you will visit Mihintale (approx. 1h - ONE WAY) which is believed to be the cradle of Buddhism in Sri Lanka.  Here, alluring temples and stupas are scattered across beautiful hillsides.

Later you will have a Jeep Safari in one of the three national parks in the area, the actual one will be chosen on the day so you have the best chance of seeing the wildlife which includes elephants, Sambar deer, monkeys as well as a wide variety of birdlife.

Today you will drive from Sigiriya to Mahiyangana (approx. 2h 30m).

In the afternoon you will explore Dambana Vadda's Village located 7km away from your hotel. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity where you will get to discover the indigenous group of people and their onsite activities. 

This morning you will enjoy a boat ride at Sorabora Lake. An early morning start is recommendable as the views tend to be at their best in the morning.

Later you can join the chef in the preparation of a delicious breakfast at Sorabora Rock.

This afternoon you can learn the art of pottery making and reed mats. There are very few places where you can learn these undiscovered secret methods, but here we have allowed you to join with those locals who have been in the manufacturing process for a long time. 

You will take the morning hike to Rathna Ella, through the picturesque scenery to the lush forests of Mahiyangana. (3.5km journey). You can relax in the waterfall and have a swim if you want to enhance the whole experience.

It's safari time!!! discover the undiscovered, this is not another common national park. You'll be taken on a jeep safari at Maduru Oya National Park where you can get to explore lot of endemic species. 

Your chauffeur guide will collect you from your hotel after breakfast and accompany you to Mandaram Nuwara (approx. 2h).

The rest of the day you are able to enjoy the Tea Plantation around your accommodation. Your hotel will be able to suggest some circular walks if desired.

This morning you will go to the Tea Factory for an interesting tour around the factory and experience tea plucking with locals.  As the Factory is not open to the general public and only those in-house, you get a very personal tour so you are able to learn a lot about the tea process, and finish with tasting some of their own tea!

The afternoon will be at leisure.

You will be collected from your hotel and taken to the Kolapathana Ella by Jeep. You will be drop-off at the town of Mandaram Nuwara, and the trek begins to the waterfall (1.5km by foot).

If you wish to engage with another adventure we can arrange a visit to Mooloya Estate (approx. 4h by Jeep).

Today you will drive across the Island back to Colombo for your final night (approx. 5h 30m). Upon arrival, your chauffeur will take you on a city tour of Colombo. Here you will visit some of the main cultural and historic sites and also take a trip to the Pettah Market or a couple of the most famous shops for handloom and handicraft items.

This evening your private chauffeur-guide will take you to the Lagoon Restaurant at Cinnamon Grand where you can enjoy your farewell dinner with a glass of wine!!!. Here you will be privileged to choose your most favorite from the freshest catch on display and the chef will prepare the dish as you like.

This morning, you will be collected and driven to Colombo Airport ahead of your flight.
