Itinerary Route
Day 01
Welcome to Sri Lanka! On arrival at Colombo International Airport, you will be met by one of our representatives and then be driven to your hotel where you can relax after your long journey (approx. 45m).

Overnight at Cinnamon Lakeside, Colombo

Day 02
This morning you can further explore Colombo before your journey to the northern ancient city of Anuradhapura (approx. 4h 30m) for your next 02 nights. The first quarter of the journey will take you through a coastal road, with great views across the Indian Ocean.
​
Later you will drive through many rural villages passing by paddy fields where you can have a better insight into a rural livelihood.

Day 03
Today you will drive to Wilpattu National Park (approx. 1h) for a jeep safari. There is a good chance of spotting a leopard, but that is far from guaranteed. You will enter the park this morning by 6 a.m., just after the opening of the gates.
​
Sightings of a great range of wildlife can be expected, such as Asian elephants, sloth bears, leopards, deer, snakes, wonderful birdlife, and so on.

Day 04
Your chauffeur guide will provide detailed information on the history of Anuradhapura Ancient City and guide you around the main sites. Depending on your interests, you can choose the places you want to explore.
​
The complete visit would take around four hours, but this will depend on your personal interest.

Day 05
This morning you will climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress accompanied by your private chauffeur guide (approx. 20m), who will be able to provide you with the detailed information of the history of the fortress as you admire the views on the top.
​
Later you can either visit the Ritigala forest monastery or stay leisure by the pool.

Day 06
Your chauffeur guide will collect you from your hotel and drive you to Polonnaruwa Ancient City (approx. 1h), Sri Lanka's second capital. It is one of the great places to learn about the history of Sri Lanka.
Later you will be taken on a Jeep Safari at Kaudulla National Park. However, your chauffeur may change the visit with another in the same area if there is a better chance of seeing wildlife than Kaudulla.

Day 07
This morning you will travel to Kandy (approx. 3h), en-route visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, dating back to the 1st century. There you will find different sizes of Buddha statues along with a beautiful art gallery on the ceiling.
In the afternoon, you will visit a spice garden in Matale and drive to Kandy.

Day 08
Today you will explore the famous Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and visit the local market with your chauffeur guide.

in the evening witness a cultural dance performance in Kandy or stay leisure by the pool.

Day 09
You will be collected from your hotel and drop off at the train station in Kandy. You will be boarded to a train that will take approximately 3 hours up to the tea country. The most spectacular scenery passing waterfalls and tea plantations will be just after Hatton. Your private chauffeur will pick you up from the Nanu Oya railway station and drop you off at your hotel in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 10
You can stay leisure by the hotel or explore the area with your private chauffeur.
Optional: An early morning start is advisable to visit Horton Plains National Park as the views tend to be at their best in the morning. The 09 km circular route takes you past firstly World's End Viewpoint and then Baker's Fall, a 20 m high waterfall. You will have the rest of your day at leisure to relax or take a walk around the plantation.

Day 11
Today you will move from the Tea Country down to the south coast. The journey will probably take most of the day as you wind your way down through tea plantations to the sea-level where the landscape of paddy fields. We will take breaks en-route for refreshment opportunities, and photo stops depending on your interests.

Day 12 & 13
Today you can take a dip in the pool and enjoy lazing in the sunshine or explore the activities around your property. However, I would like to suggest some activities if you are fancy venturing out from your beachside retreat. You could go on a whale-watching trip in Mirissa (only from November to April), cycling experience in a nearby village, visit a nearby turtle hatchery or perhaps visit Galle Fort

Day 14
Its time to return back to your country or the next destination!!!
Having reached at the end of your program, you will be transferred to the Bandaranaike International Airport in time of your departure flight.
